Parking garages seem to be a calling card for criminals. Especially overnight. Dozens of vehicles left unattended for hours. Thieves know they can find something of value in at least one or more of the vehicles there. Something they can turn into cash.
About 3:30 one morning, a red vehicle was seen pulling into an apartment parking garage. The vehicle drove to an open parking spot and backed in. The driver and passenger exited the car and could be seen walking in between the other parked vehicles, tugging on their door handles.
A ECAM security professional was watching the activity on a live surveillance camera and called to dispatch police. The guard was also notified of the incident, as well as the dispatch.
Minutes later, two police cruisers were seen entering the parking garage. Responding officers located the car prowlers and placed them under arrest.
