ABC Affiliate Reports No Injuries in Destructive Fire That Demolished Condo Building
WFAA, the ABC affiliate in Dallas, reported dozens of people were displaced from their home when a fire swept through a condo building, just weeks before the holidays. Luckily no one was hurt in the four-alarm blaze. That is thanks in part to the quick action of a trained ECAM security operator.

Shortly before 1:00 a.m., our operator saw a large amount of smoke pouring out of one of the units. The monitoring operator immediately contacted Dallas Fire-Rescue. In addition, the on-site security guard and the property’s main point of contact were called and alerted of the activity. Firefighters arrived and battled the blaze for several hours. Because of damage sustained by fire, smoke and water, officials determined the building is uninhabitable and would have to be torn down.
